I met Jim 9 years ago when we were relocating from one home to another. Because of the dimensions of the house, much of the furniture needed to be replaced. Jim was patient, innovative and humorous to work with. I never felt exploited or pushed into a corner, as one often can with designers. Jim took time to understand our family’s lifestyle and values and helped us choose furnishings accordingly. I have gone back to Jim many times when we have needed things. I consider him a friend more than anything. Part of the life we created in our current home. I give him my highest recommendation.

He takes the time to learn your taste but expands your thinking. He makes recommendations that I wouldn’t haven’t considered and we love the end result. He has an easy style and we never feel rushed in making choices. However, when we’re ready, he oversees the project and drives perfection. Jim and I have worked together for eight years. Jim designed our homes in Austin and San Antonio. Our design is classic contemporary. Jim designed and managed the interior renovations of the kitchens and selected the countertops, backsplash, furnishings, rugs, lighting, art, and linens for both homes. The design is unique, well thought out and pulled together beautifully with color, pattern and details. Jim thoughtfully took into consideration our three four legged family members (Scottish terriers) when recommending fabrics, area rugs and coverlets for our couches for watching television with the dogs.
Jim uses a program that shows you the room layout with the proposed location of the furnishings and details to ensure that the dimensions work and you are happy with the look early in the process. He is organized and provides images of proposed design items to allow you to narrow down choices prior to visiting showrooms. We are all very busy these days with work and family and Jim is aware of how important it is to make the best use of our time in the design process.
Jim is a thoughtful and kind person and wonderful to work with. Having Jim as your designer provides access to the best the design world has to offer. His ability to interpret your vision and make it a reality is key. Best of all, Jim creates a relaxing and fun environment to design the place we call home.
